As a student in the University of Phoenix® School of Business, you have the opportunity to become a member of the Lambda Sigma Chapter of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. Delta Mu Delta is an internationally recognized honor society for students and graduates of business and accounting programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
The mission of Delta Mu Delta is to recognize and encourage the academic excellence of students at qualifying colleges and universities, creating a community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through lifetime membership.

Delta Mu Delta provides scholarships to student members on an annual basis to ensure that exceptional

Membership in Delta Mu Delta fulfills one of the requirements for entrance at the GS-7 level in numerous professional and technical positions within federal service. This enables honor society members to start their government careers at a higher level of salary than might otherwise be possible.
In addition to the LinkedIn and Facebook sites, Delta Mu Delta publishes The Vision twice yearly. The Vision keeps members up-to-date on the work of the honor society and its 300 chapters, as well as current business issues. Membership provides students with access to the electronic version of The Vision. If you want to receive a hard copy of the Vision, please make a $25 contribution to Delta Mu Delta.
Delta Mu Delta’s commitment to advancing your knowledge of business includes access to the print or electronic editions of Bloomberg Businessweek. New inductees automatically receive a one-year subscription (50 issues). After the first year, you can capitalize on an 88-percent reduction in price in comparison to newsstand prices to keep receiving the magazine.
University of Phoenix students inducted through the Lambda Sigma Chapter will receive an induction packet as part of their membership benefits. The induction packet includes an official purple and gold honor stole, a set of purple and gold honor cords, a membership certificate, the official Delta Mu Delta key and other membership materials.
